David Michie RSA PSSA

David Michie RSA PSSA (born 1928)
The son of Anne Redpath he studied at Edinburgh College of Art and in Italy. He later taught at Edinburgh and from 1982 to 1990 was Head of the Drawing and Painting Department, he is now an Honorary Vice-President there. In 1979 he was Visiting Artist at the University of the Arts in Belgrade and In 1991 he went to the University of California at Santa Barbara as Visiting Professor. He was awarded an OBE in the 1997 New Year Honours. He is represented in many public collections.
