Evgrafov Alexandre Borisovitch (b.1927)
Evgrafov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan. At the age of 17, he moved to St. Petersburg where he enrolled in the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. He continued his studies there for the next ten years before pursuing a master’s degree in the School of Post-Graduate Studies at the Academy of Arts. Something of a prodigy, some of his early works are still on display in the Academy’s permanent collections. He exhibited across the Russian Federation and internationally and his work can be found in the public collections of the Museum of the History of Leningrad, Academy of Fine Arts of Russia and Pushkin’s Museum in France.
