Jane Corsellis RWS NEAC
Born in Oxford, Jane studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London where she was awarded the Leverhulme Scholarship and the final year Painting Prize. While still a student she exhibited at the Young Contemporaries Exhibition and at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. On graduation in 1962 she painted for a year in Spain before returning to teach for two years. She has lived all over the world and held solo shows internationally from the early 1970s, notably in Hong Kong, Ottawa and Kuala Lumpar. She is now settled permanently in London and shares her time between her home by the Thames in Chiswick and her house and studio in Pembrokeshire. A committed ‘plein air’ painter she has been a member of the New English Art Club for more than forty years and a passionate advocate of the ideals of the society’s founders. She is also an elected member of the Royal Cambrian Academy.
