Raïsa Sergeyevna Zatulovskaya (b.1924)
A Russian painter from the Soviet Union, she married the much older artist Sergei Mikhaylov (1893–1952) with whom she had a daughter Irina, also a painter. A three man exhibition of her work along with her husband and daughter’s paintings was held at the Kovcheg Gallery in Moscow in 2003. Raisa’s work became popular in London with the influx of Russian painting into the UK in the 1980s and 90s. It is thought that Raisa and her daughter are now living in New York.
