Liljeson studied at the Art Academy and was apprenticed to Otte Sköld in Stockholm from 1933 to 1939. He exhibited at the Östergötland Art Society and in mixed exhibitions in Motala, Norrlöping and Boras. He is represented at the Swedish State Historical Museum.
