Ove Persson (1925-1999)
Persson worked for several years as a postman before becoming a full-time artist around 1960. He was mainly self-taught and participated in exhibitions all over Sweden. He mainly drew on the landscape in and around Simlangsdalen and the railway routes between Bolmen and Halmstad for inspiration. His paintings can be found in the permanent collections of the cities of Falkenberg, Halmstad and Umeå. A memorial exhibition of Persson's art was shown in Steninge in 2010.
